What happens after you sign.

Somebody comes to the building before anybody prices it. We measure the incomer, read the half-hourly data or the RF environment, trace the containment that already exists and photograph the board. Most of what changes a design is found in that hour — and finding it later is what turns a fixed price into a variation.

The system gets drawn: single-line diagram or network schematic, equipment schedule, protection and earthing, cable routes, and a bill of materials with a number against every line. No provisional sums — a provisional sum is a decision deferred until you have less room to argue about it.

Where the connection itself changes — new export, new load, a battery that can push power back — the application goes to the distribution network operator carrying the protection settings we intend to use. It is submitted at design stage rather than once the equipment is standing on site, because its timescale belongs to the operator rather than to us.

Energy work only. A network or automation job does not touch the connection.

On an energy job the batteries, inverters and metering come off our own lines and the distribution boards out of our own workshop, so the board that arrives is the board on the drawing. On network and automation work we quote supply-and-install by default, and will fit equipment you have already bought if you say so before the schedule is fixed.

Containment, cabling, mounting and terminations, carried out by the same team that drew it. Live sites are the norm rather than the exception: isolations and shutdown windows are agreed at design stage and written into the programme, so the outage you planned for is the outage you get.

Settings applied, protection proved, changeover or failover demonstrated with your people in the room, and the system run under load before anyone signs anything. Alert thresholds are set here, on site, against your building — not left where the factory put them.

The certificate covers the electrical work itself. You will not find a scheme badge anywhere on this site: a badge we cannot hand you a copy of is decoration.

The walkthrough, and the pack. Every setting recorded, every run certified, every automation written down in plain English, credentials handed over in writing. The documentation is yours: another contractor could pick the job up tomorrow without ringing us first, which is the only real test of whether a handover happened.

A system nobody watches is a system nobody notices failing. Portal accounts per site, thresholds agreed at handover, and a maintenance interval written down rather than implied. First-year performance is reviewed against the figures the design promised, including the ones that were optimistic.
