A smart home is not a drawer of apps. It is one system where the lights, heating, blinds, cameras and battery each know what the others are doing — so the house dims for the evening, pre-warms before you land, and rides through a power cut without anyone touching a switch. We design it at first fix, wire it properly, and make sure it still works when the internet does not.

How the job runs
No stage ends with a verbal update. Every step produces a document, a certificate or a working system, so progress is visible and the handover pack builds itself as we go.
We start with how you actually live in the house, not with a product list. Which rooms frustrate you, what you would never touch, and what the budget really is.
Output — Scope document and indicative budget
System schematic, keypad positions marked on plan, a cable schedule for your electrician, and a clear split between what is wired and what is wireless.
Output — Design pack and first-fix cable schedule
Controller, keypads, motors, sensors and the control enclosure ordered against the design and held until the site is ready for them. Nothing is specified as wireless where a cable is already going that way.
Output — Equipment list and delivery schedule
Cabling in before the plaster goes on. This is the step that cannot be added later, and the reason an early conversation saves money.

Hardware installed, every circuit named, every scene tuned on site with you in the room. Names you chose, not defaults.

A proper walkthrough for everyone who lives in the house, not only the person who commissioned it, plus a printed quick reference and the schematic, credentials and automation list in writing.

The handover pack is the job, written down. It is yours to keep, to hand to an insurer, or to give to whoever maintains the system after us.
Issued as one indexed file at handover, and re-issued on request for the life of the system.
Retrofit is very doable. Wireless and battery-powered devices cover lighting, heating, blinds and sensing without lifting floors. You lose some of the elegance of a wired system and gain batteries to change every few years — we will tell you honestly which parts are worth chasing cables for.
The house keeps working. The controller runs locally, so scenes, schedules, keypads and automations are unaffected. What you lose is remote access from outside the house and voice assistants, until the line is back.
No. We build on open standards — Matter, Zigbee, Z-Wave, KNX and local APIs — so you can add hardware from different vendors later. There is no monthly licence keeping your own house working.
Before first fix, ideally at the point you have floor plans. That is when a cable costs almost nothing to add. We can join later, but the options narrow once the plaster is on.
That is the part we care about most. The home system reads your inverter, battery and meter directly, shifts loads into cheap and self-generated hours, and holds selected circuits live during an outage.
We do, and the documentation means somebody else could. You get the schematic, the credentials and a plain-English list of every automation — no black boxes, no vendor holding the house hostage.
One accountable chain
Where a scope like this includes storage, inverters or distribution boards, they are built by the same company that surveys the site and commissions the system. That is why a fault has one owner, instead of a supplier and an installer pointing at each other.
